LIKE A CHINESE TATTOO The fourth Dark Arts Books release is now available and offers stories from the disturbingly dark to the hysterically wrong.
Unusual, weird and wonderful, herein are twelve stories from the minds of four supremely talented — and twisted — authors. From the curse of the living dead to vengeance from beyond the grave, from the darkest corner of Africa to the bowels of the local cemetery, these tales are as unique and as mysterious as…well, a Chinese Tattoo!
SINS OF THE SIRENS The third Dark Arts Books release spotlights the deadly, seductive lures of four amazing writers.
Sins of the Sirens was released in January 2008 and features new stories and rarities from Maria Alexander, Christa Faust, Loren Rhoads and Mehitobel Wilson. The largest Dark Arts collection yet, this anthology features 20,000 words of fiction from each author, including "Firebird" a new, original novelette from Christa Faust!
WAITING FOR OCTOBER Waiting For October, the second title from Dark Arts Books, was released at the World Horror Convention in Toronto at the end of March 2007. The four-author collection features new fiction and select rarities from Adam Pepper, Sarah Pinborough, Jeff Strand and Jeffrey Thomas!
From body parts gone missing to body parts inexplicably arriving, from parasitic children to dead grammas, Waiting for October offers a dozen wild stories from four extremely twisted imaginations.
"I doubt I'll read a stronger horror-themed collection this year than WAITING FOR OCTOBER, the genre-busting follow-up to Dark Arts Books' 2006 anthology CANDY ON THE DUMPSTER... For me, however, the book's magic is in its incredibly wide-ranging, always unpredictable contents."

"In Waiting for October, four unique voices probe the breadth and depth of dark fiction with tremendous success. This collection offers the subtle and creepy along with the brutal and grotesque. Stylish. Smart. And scary. It's a stunning collection from four of the genre's brightest talents.

Stained, Damage and The Dust of Wonderland.

Overall, Sins of the Sirens is a worthy anthology that acquaints readers with four notable genre voices. It's yet another solid addition to the growing catalog of Dark Arts Books and a fine example of the positive contributions of the horror small press. Sins' subject matter is a perfect fit for the small press, and Everson does an excellent job catering to the specific tastes of those who like their horror on the sensual side - with just a hint of the nasty.
One thing I can tell you is not to waste time searching for a common thread between the tales in Sins of the Sirens. You would be a fool to do so. Each author brings her own unique approach to this book, and their own unique style.

Horror Fiction Review called Dark Arts Books' second release, Waiting for October, "a fine showcase of each author's talent, with varied entires featuring elements of horror, scifi and humor . . . i.e. you won't be bored for a second.
Dark Arts Books goes 2 for 2." And Dark Scribe called it "the literary equivalent of “the quaint sampler candy box.”
