Dark Arts Books began as simply a vehicle to produce a “Chicago horror authors sampler” for the World Horror Convention in 2006. Since then, we’ve published seven critically acclaimed anthologies, seven single author collections and five novels. Click on the thumbnails below to see the full table of contents, author lists, reviews and free fiction excerpts from each title.
Novels
Dark Arts Books has published six novels to date from Brian Pinkerton and John Everson.
Single Author Collections:
Dark Arts began issuing single author collections specifically to bring Martin Mundt’s The Crawling Abattoir and The Dark Underbelly of Hymns back into print. We’ve since issued an original collection of Mundt classics in Synchronized Sleepwalking, and reissued four John Everson titles that had gone out of print.

Martin Mundt’s 3rd collection of unusual fiction walks the line between crazy funny, wildly weird and unexpectedly emotional.
